Moffitt Day in Tallahassee (2026)

On January 28, Moffitt Cancer Center gathered at the Florida Capitol for our annual Advocacy Day—a powerful opportunity to connect with state leaders and advance our mission. This year, we were joined by 45 volunteer advocates and 15 of Moffitt’s leaders, including our CEO, Board Chair, and Founder. Together, we worked to raise awareness, share our stories, and advocate for continued support of cancer research and care. Event highlights include:  

  • 80 meetings with Legislators from across the state 
  • 100 free skin and head and neck cancer screenings provided 
  • A cooking demonostration in the Capitol Courtyard by Moffitt's Population Engagement and Research Laboratory (PEARL) Chef Jules and Fresh From Florida's Chef Justin 
  • A widely-attend reception on the 22nd floor of the Florida Capitol, bringing together legislators, staff, and supporters of Moffitt
